Lyra who plays this game at age 10 probably doesn't know the difference between this alternative world and real life. It is a recreation of life, that is what makes it so different, its the same as life. People are not really playing video games anymore they are playing life, just an alternate form of it. Of course I am just playing with words here but it is a scary thing to think about.

Recreation of Life
I wanna talk a little bit about this statement that a man made in a guild of World of Warcraft. "The key point about World of Warcraft is that it is not simply a game; it is an alternative world. It is a recreation of life, and it has built its reality in as much depth and detail as possible." Does that statement sound a little scary to you?
